AMBER BACK IN NASCAR WITH NEW SPONSOR, ICON DIRECT

Amber Balcaen partners with ICON Direct for full season in NASCAR Development Program

Professional race car driver Amber Balcaen announced today that she will be racing full time for Bill McAnally Racing (BMR) this season in BMR Drivers Academy, a new NASCAR development program. Amber’s full-time ride includes 40 races touring the west coast of the United States. Amber will be competing for a series championship and the opportunity for additional ARCA races and NASCAR Truck races with BMR in the 2021 race season.

“I am really excited to be racing for Bill McAnally,” added Balcaen. “Bill is very respected in the racing industry and I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve.”

The Winnipeg born Balcaen will be driving her #10 car proudly sporting a new primary sponsor, ICON.

ICON is a manufacturer of after-market Motorhome Parts, RV parts and custom plastic products, located in Winkler, Manitoba. ICON aftermarket parts are available through RV Dealers and Distributors across North America and directly through their website ICONDirect.com.

“We are excited to sponsor Amber Balcaen in the NASCAR West Series,” said John Loewen, CEO of ICON Technologies Limited. “I resonated with Amber’s underdog story. She has a really bright future as a professional race car driver and will be a great brand ambassador for ICON.”

Balcaen is a third-generation race car driver who made history in 2016 when she became the first Canadian female to win a NASCAR Sanctioned race in the USA.

“I am very honored to be representing two Manitoba companies, ICON and Glen McLeod and Sons Ltd., this year as I transition back to the NASCAR world,” said Balcaen. “It feels amazing to have such great support from my home province. I have put in the work this off season and cannot wait to see what we can accomplish on track.” This will be Glen McLeod and Son’s Ltd fifth year sponsoring Balcaen.

Amber’s first race of the year will be March 26 in Roseville, CA. You can watch the races LIVE on Speed Sport TV.
