Amber secures top 3 & top 5 finish in first races of the NWAAS

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, CANADA, May 5, 2016 – Two weeks into her stint with Lee Pulliam Performance, Canadian born Amber Balcaen will be taking a break from racing at Virginia’s Motor Mile Speedway as the series takes a couple weeks off before resuming action at the .416-mile speedway.  The series resumes on May 14th at the Radford, Virginia speedway in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series’ O’Reilly Auto Parts 150, the third race of the season at Motor Mile.
So far in her maiden season in the NWAAS, Balcaen has performed well in the Lee Pulliam Performance set-up with a fifth place finish her first week, backed by a third in her second race, a race that saw Amber fight through adversity after an early wreck.
Amber still hunts that elusive first victory, saying, “I was so close to victory on this last race that I was pretty disappointed in myself that I didn’t get the job done. Even though a top 3 is respectable after just two races in the series, I still come to the track to win! My team gave me a great racecar and I can’t wait to get back on the track and try to make it to victory lane.”
Amber is confident a win is coming but she is not alone as car owner Lee Pulliam said, “Amber was close to winning that last race and there was a big improvement on qualifying and was way more consistent. The improvement she made after just from just one was impressive. She will be winning races in no time””She has impressed me and a lot of people here at one of the toughest short tracks on the east coast. She’s got as much talent and desire as any racer we have worked with and we have worked with some of the biggest names in the sport” This is high praise coming from one of the biggest names in late model racing.
Balcaen would like to thank Winners Circle Sports Bar out of Lakeland, FL for making these first two races possible.” Amber is still seeking further sponsorship for the remainder of the season and hopes to solidify that during this short time off.
Recently, a mini documentary was released on Amber, that can be viewed here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-N0hffoy7Q
